Analysis
The book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, written by, J. K. Rowling was a very thought through book. The main character of the book was Harry Potter, when he was a baby his parents were killed by Voldemort, the evil villain of the wizarding world. Voldemort attempted to kill Harry Potter and Harry somehow survived and managed to kill Voldemort, making him famous in the wizarding world and he doesn't know this. Harry Potter is a hero throughout the whole book in which he manages to defeat Voldemort a second time. Harry Potter grows up with his uncle, aunt, and cousin, who bully's him constantly. He lives in the cupboard under the stairs of the Dursley's house. (Pg. 19). Ron Wesley is Harry's best friend, Ron also comes from a very poor family he has 3 brothers and a younger sister. Ron also very adventurous, he has a pet rat that has been passed down, named Scabbers, Ron and his whole family have red hair and are easily identified. Hermione is also a great friend of Harry's, she is the brains of the group, she is smart and studies all the time and reads a lot of books. Voldemort stands for all the evil in the world and how it will be persistent no matter what you do. Harry Potter is a symbol oh hope for the wizarding world, he defeated the most powerful villan in the world when he was just a baby. He also beat him again in the end of the book. Throughout the book Harry stands for courage and determination and that if you try hard enough you can always overcome difficulties, with his tests and being a first year Quidditch player and fighting against the forces of evil. The Sorcerer's Stone stands for greed and Harry defeated the greedy Voldemort when he was trying to get the stone.
